Qualitative Decision Theory with Sugeno Integrals
This paper presents an axiomatic framework for qualitative decision under uncertainty in a finite setting. The corresponding util ity is expressed by a sup-min expression, called Sugeno (or fuzzy) integral. Techni cally speaking, Sugeno integral is a median, which is indeed a qualitative counterpart to the averaging operation underlying expected utility. The axiomatic justification of Sugeno ...
متن کاملDecision under qualitative uncertainty with Sugeno Integrals - An axiomatic approach
Qualitative counterparts of expected utility can be expressed by means of Sugeno inte-grals. Both von Neumann and Morgenstern-like and Savage-like axiomatic justiications are provided. In this framework, pessimistic (i.e., risk-averse) as well as optimistic attitudes can be captured.
متن کاملOn Chebyshev type inequalities for generalized Sugeno integrals
We give the necessary and su cient conditions guaranteeing the validity of Chebyshev type inequalities for generalized Sugeno integrals in the case of functions belonging to a much wider class than the comonotone functions. For several choices of operators, we characterize the classes of functions for which the Chebyshev type inequality for the classical Sugeno integral is satis ed.
متن کاملDecision-making with Sugeno integrals
This paper clari es the connection between multiple criteria decisionmaking and decision under uncertainty in a qualitative setting relying on a nite value scale. While their mathematical formulations are very similar, the underlying assumptions di er and the latter problem turns out to be a special case of the former. Sugeno integrals are very general aggregation operations that can represent ...
متن کاملTwo Sugeno Integrals Based Representation
The representation of a comonotone-∨̌-additive and monotone functional L, defined on the class of functions from X to [−1, 1], by two Sugeno integrals have been presented. This representation is a generalization of certain previous results, which are useful for the Cumulative Prospect Theory.
